Karl Busby asked about getting the speed limit lowered to 25 mph on Twin Beach Road?  Bill Rofkar stated it is a Township road but it would have to be submitted to Ottawa County Engineer who will do a study based on State standards of cars speeding, accidents etc.. Submit in writing  the request to lower the speed limit to this Board and then  procedure can be followed.  Will have police check it out more carefully.

Becky Swisher of Hylant Insurance Group presented proposal for renewing liability and property damage insurance effective June 15, 2003 to June 15, 2004 and explained the changes.  Cost will be $46,990.00 which was approved.

Doug Falls stated he is a neighbor of Pete Wennes and asked about status on his junk vehicle?  Bob Schroeder stated it will go to Common Pleas Court if the car is not removed.

Bill Rofkar stated in his letter he asked some questions about removal but that is his problem and not ours.

Mr. Falls stated anything he has done has not blocked his access.  He has put historical plates on it now but the cougar is not even on his property but on the road right-of-way.  It is just an eye soar and am interested in following up on what can be done.

Bill stated it is spelled out in the Ohio Revised Code as to what this Board can do and where a historical vehicle has to be stored.  Will have Pat write him a letter in response to his letter stating intent of following thru with this and he needs to correct the problem so if it ends up in Court he can say he never received a response to his letter and we don’t need that.

Pat Cerny stated  she received  a call complaining of long grass and weeds at 4719 Weyhe Road  Bill stated it has to be in writing before anything can be done.  Pat stated sign on Sand Road is advertising weekly rentals which is not permissible and will write them a letter.

Robert Schroeder made a motion to appoint Paul Patterson as a regular member of the Zoning Commission to finish the term of John Rogers which expires December 31, 2004. William Rofkar seconded and both voted aye.

Bob stated road to the brush pile should be oiled and Bill stated Gary was to take care of it.  Discussed property to be made into a prairie nature preserve and also the Park Board.   Will talk to Meredith Beck about getting the Park Board involved in the project.  A recycling container  with doors on each end will cost $3950.00 plus $300.00 freight which was approved.  Will talk to Lori as to procedure.  Residents on Muggy Road request 35 mph sign and “We Love Our Children” sign and Children sign was approved

Clerk read list of office equipment in storage room and asked what can be done with them?  Board thought should have an auction if police have enough stored to make it worthwhile.  Keys to Community Hall was discussed and advised a letter should be sent to Bob Christiansen requesting return of his key and payment of Parcels Post rental.

A motion was made by Robert Schroeder and seconded by William Rofkar to adjourn.  Both voted aye.
