Correspondence included letter from Huntington National Bank to be designated as a depository of active funds for years 2007 thru 2011 including Agreement for Deposit of Public Funds to be signed, Howard T. Moriarty Co. having a luncheon trade show on November 2nd, 11:00 am-1 pm.,  Ottawa County Township Association meeting at Harris Township Fire Hall on Thursday, October 26 at 6:30 p.m., TruGreen ChemLawn agreement for 2007 at cost of $365.00 which was not approved, County Engineer’s Office quoting Salt prices for 2006-2007 and Kenneth Blackwell including the Ohio Issues to be voted on in November.

John Coppeler presented copies of signs by Jerry Davenport  for the Park Board to be posted as “Cedar Meadows Preserve” at the entrance and wondered if Trustees had any comments or recommendations..

Philip Riccio who lives on Arthur Street in Lemmerman Meadows presented a letter stating two big mounds of dirt are behind his property and wants to know if this is legal? Presented pictures of the mounds of dirt behind his property but the mounds are on Catawba Place property.  Was advised Township cannot do anything about it.

Phil Trick stated his concern is intersection of West Catawba Road and Northwest Catawba Road  that it is hard to see traffic coming from Sand Road and wondered if there could be a traffic light installed there or signs put up there.   Gary Mortus stated he would talk to the County Engineer about having signs put up to yield to traffic and see what other recommendations he might make.

Robert Schroeder had the bill from North Coast EMS for Karl Busby training in the amount of $569.00 which was approved  and stated training is just becoming too much for volunteer firefighters.  Gary asked how much of this training is mandated and Bob thinks it all is mandated.

William Rofkar made a motion to adopt Resolution to have Huntington National Bank as a depository of funds for the years 2007 thru 2011 including an agreement for deposit of public funds to be signed. Robert Schroeder seconded the motion and the vote:

G. Mortus-aye, R. Schroeder-aye, W. Rofkar-aye.

Gary Mortus stated he talked to Put-in-Bay Township about the escalating property values and they would like our township to join with them and write a letter to our state representatives about the way they are doing things and driving away the elders.

Gary will look into it.

Gary Mortus talked to Dave Brunkhorst about the Gem Beach drainage issue. He is down to the easements and feels confident it will be completed by spring.

The new realty office where the Yachte Centre was located on Northeast Catawba Road,  is not the correct use for the property.  It is zoned C-4.  Gary Mortus suggested sending the owner a letter and tell them they may apply for a use variance.

William Rofkar made a motion to adjourn seconded by Robert Schroeder.  All voted aye.  8:20p.m.
