Kenneth Blackwell, Secretary of Stated, including information on Ohio Issues that will be on the November ballot, Government Risk Management Insurance including information on New Plan Benefit-Ohio Plan Advantage and quotation from Ray’s Lawn & Landscaping in Marblehead for 2006 landscaping at Administration building and Cemetery.

Mr. Martin stated the issue of drainage at Carolina and Poplar Streets was discussed with Mike Brough in the County Engineer’s office who gave them a number of pieces of information  Mike gave them a blue print showing where the water presently goes from the catch basin at the south end of Carolina Street to the lake but this does not solve the problem.

Mr. Amos stated talking to County Engineer in 1993 regarding the drainage and explained the plan and presented letters from 1973 when the same problem existed.

Gary Mortus stated the catch basin was put in at Gordon Shore in 2002 and there was an existing septic tank that was not removed.  Will talk to County Engineer again and see what more we can do.

Jim Stouffer gave an update on the underpass in the road. Talked to Mr. Brunkhorst about it and will work with him and the Township when this project is started.

Meredith Beck talked to Julie Shiedcastle of the Black Swamp Observatory which is a volunteer non-profit organization that does habitat research and asked her to do an assessment of the Vollmer property.  This would give us documentation on what is on the property and wetlands to be used to try and get a grant. This would also encourage the community to see what is available on the property.  Would like to know if there is any objection to this and if the Township really owns the property?

Gary stated received approval of the restrictions and have not heard from them when the money will be wired to us.  Will talk to Donna Kirkbride tomorrow and see what the status is. Once we take ownership Park Board could make recommendations as to what they would like done.  Catherine Pfeiffer stated they walked the property last Friday.

Tom Nicholson stated the Prosecuting Attorney had contacted him and he went in and signed the papers today.

Zoning Inspector Pat Cerny asked about the Land Use Plan and Gary stated proposed text changes in the RE and RA Districts might be misinterpreted and she should check with Walter Wehenkel on this.  Pat asked about the Mon Ami sign which is supposedly grand fathered in and Gary stated they should be told the sign has to be removed.

Robert Schroeder asked if anything is going to be done with this Resolution in Issue I and Board agreed they were not in favor of endorsing Issue I.  Asked about the County Housing and feels we should not have any part of it.  Bill Rofkar stated maybe more will be said about it at the County Township meeting and feels should talk to the Commissioners before doing anything about it.

Gary Mortus asked about the next meeting on election night  and was agreed first meeting in November will be Monday, November 7 at 9:00 a.m..  Gave an update on the Web page.

Clerk asked about walking at the Community Hall and will start November 14th from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m..

William Rofkar stated the backhoe needs new tires and will cost approximately $1200.00 which was approved.  Talked to Dan about the tree at the Chapel and he said he talked to you about it.  Gary will call the insurance company and explain what happened.

A motion was made by Gary Mortus and seconded by Robert Schroeder to adjourn at

8:20 p.m.  All voted aye.
