NOVEMBER 11, 2008 – MINUTES
REQUEST FOR PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT
APPLICATION #059182 – HARBOR ISLAND DEVELOPMENT

            William Rofkar called the public hearing to order at 7:00 p.m. in the conference room regarding request #059182 for a Planned Unit Development by William Vandergiessen.  In attendance:  William Rofkar, Robert Schroeder, Gary Mortus,  Pat Cerny, William and Darlene Vandergiessen, William Vandergiessen Jr., Lisa Vandergiessen, Jane & Ken Stumbaugh, James Stouffer, Steve May, Michael Prosser, Matt Montowski, Vicky & John Glaze, Mr. Grover, Robert Snyder, Reggie Langford and Jack DeVore.   The meeting began with Mr. Vandergiessen stating the Trustees have been provided with all the necessary information regarding the request in detail.  Mr. Vandergiessen presented the Trustees and the audience with a short verbal and paper synopsis of the project as to why it should be approved. 

            William Rofkar stated his concern is the parking  on the existing club property.  Mr. Vandergiessen stated there are 91 parking spaces, 70 are required and needed, and he exceeds this by twenty spaces.  Thre are 60 additional spaces for the homes.  William Rofkar asked for a break down of the spaces which are on the map and you must be a member to dock there.  The current membership is 320.  Regional Planning attended the hearings with the Zoning Commission and all was in order.  Pat Cerny stated the Zoning Commission went over the request very thoroughly.  The hearing was closed to the public.  The Trustees then discussed the application.  Gary Mortus made a motion to approve application #059182 as presented seconded by Robert Schroeder.  Gary Mortus, aye;  Robert Schroeder, aye; Gary Mortus, aye.  Gary Mortus made a motion for adjournment seconded by Robert Schroeder.  Motion carried unanimously.
