Minutes: December 12th, 2006
 

The Catawba Island Township Trustees held their regular meeting on December 12, 2006 at 7:30 p.m. in the conference room with William Rofkar and Robert Schroeder present.  Also present:  Pat Cerny, James Stouffer, Reggie Langford, Jack DeVore and Meredith Beck. 

Vice Chairman Robert Schroeder opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance.  A motion was made by William Rofkar and seconded by Robert Schroeder to approve the minutes of the November 28, 2006 meeting as submitted and posted.  All voted aye.  A motion was made by William Rofkar and seconded by Robert Schroeder to pay the bills in the amount of $33,385.79.  All voted aye.

James Stouffer gave an update on his project in regard to the planting of trees.

 

Reggie Langford stated the Fallen Soldier Memorial” is good to go.  There is an account set up and there will be an article in The Beacon in regard to donations.  Any monies left in the account will be divided up and given to the veteran’s organizations in town.  The Trustees appreciate Reggie Langford’s efforts.  The dedication will be Memorial Day weekend at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. 

 

Meredith Beck stated on February 10th  or 11th or the 17th or 18th,  she would like to meet with the Trustees and Mark Shoecastle, wildlife biologist,  in regard to some planning for the nature preserve.  Meredith will pick a time and let the Trustees know.

 

William Rofkar stated we will incorporate our reorganizational meeting into the next regular business meeting, and also there will be a zoning amendment hearing at 7:00 p.m. on December 26, 2006.

 

Robert Schroeder stated he would like to hire Ship & Shore, Inc. or someone to come in to the Administration Building and clean it quarterly.  A price will be obtained. 

 

William Rofkar made a motion to adjourn seconded by Robert Schroeder.  All voted aye.
