Special Meeting
April 24, 2014
Chairman Matt Montowski called the Special Meeting to order on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. in the conference room of the administration building.
In attendance were Gary Mortus, Matt Montowski, William Rofkar, Bob Rogers and
Mike Woods
Police Chief Bob Rogers introduced Mike Woods and briefly talked about his background and qualifications. Bob Rogers proposed hiring Mike Woods as a full time police officer to replace Dave Downing following his retirement effective April 30, 2014.
A brief discussion took place regarding wages, probationary period, and start date.
William Rofkar made a motion to hire Mike Woods as a full time township police officer at a rate of $19.50 per hour with an effective start date of Monday, May 12 and a six month probationary period. The township will provide two uniforms and a vest as customarily done in the past. Gary Mortus seconded the motion. All voted aye. Motion carried.
Gary Mortus made a motion to adjourn the meeting. William Rofkar seconded the motion. All voted aye. The meeting was adjourned at 6:35 p.m.
