Matt Montowski said that at the June meeting he was given a packet of information from Mark Mulligan in regards to sexually oriented businesses. Catawba Island has already addressed this issue in their Zoning Resolution. Matt Montowski said Mark Mulligan is required to send the information from the Attorney General’s office to all the townships to review and consider. Pat Cerny said she thinks some of the other townships still needed to update their Zoning Resolutions.

Matt Montowski said perhaps the Zoning Commission should review offices in the C4 districts due to the new Marine Max office.

Matt Montowski asked Board members if they had any ideas for new Zoning Commission members and alternates. Matt Montowski said he knows a few who might be interested. It was agreed it would be ideal to have five members and two alternates on the Zoning Commission. Pat Cerny said she would like to see members from varied locations within the township. Pat Cerny said she would run an article in the newspaper requesting interest from Catawba Island residents.

The next Catawba Island Zoning Commission meeting will be held as needed.

Patti Piacentino moved to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Paul Patterson. The motion was carried unanimously.
